Description

Excellent original hand-colored print from the 1845 1st edition of the prints by R.R.McIan's for James Logan's "The Clans of The Scottish Highlands". This one is titled OGILVIE, and nicely shows a highlander from clan Ogilvy in a 18th c. dress tartan, armed with steel-gripped Scottish pistol and a ribbon-hilted Scottish broadsword or backsword. Framed it measures 14"x19". There are small dots of foxing on the periphery, otherwise fine.
