Description
This wonderful European epee dates to the early part of the 19th c. Sword is mounted with a 75 cm long blade which retains most of its blue and gilt, and is decorated with strands of arms and military regalia. There is some mild spotting on the blade, which is straight and true. The ricasso is marked with a maker's initial W. The inside of the guard is marked with the fourbisseur's name - Bertrand. Hilt is beautiful and retains most of its gilding, as does the original scabbard.
