This gymnasium training cutlass dates ca.1890-1910.
Often incorrectly attributed as the US Navy training boarding cutlass by unscrupulous dealers and the lemmings that follow them. Without proper USN markings this is just another strength-developing gadget popular in the late Victorian times through the first quarter of 20th century. It's a heavy piece, with a basket guard, and blunt 63 cm long blade. Condition is very sound, with no looseness, and some minor superficial rust.
