The title of this little book is a misleading. It's dedicated exclusively to the European 16th-18th century rapiers and small-swords, and, pound for pound, is the best concise source on the subject. An excellent introduction to the makers, styles and history of the rapier. About 50 b/w photos of the V&A Museum treasures, coupled with 12 p. of text, which should really be memorized by a collector! Long out of print, and an essential reading.
