$0.00

Description

This giant Spanish Caballeria Linea Modulo 1832 officer's sword is mounted with a superb Toledo-marked blade dated 1888. According to the noted historian of Spanish arms Juan Calvo, the sword was made as a special order for a heavy cavalry officer. It is 112 cm long overall, massive blade is 94 cm, and is in fine original condition. The condition of the blade is simply superb, retaining all of its original factory polish. Hilt is of silver-plated steel, with a nice uniform patina. Ray-skin grip is wound with silver wire, and is in excellent condition. Stitching on the back of the scabbard is split about half way down. A wonderful, rare sword dating to the wars of Latin American insurrection and the Spanish-American War!
