SPANISH TAZA RAPIER CA.1690

An excellent Spanish rapier with a tazia cup guard, and nicely chiseled eon suite terminals of the Quilon's, knuckle bow and pommel. Blade is 95 cm long, marked on both sides EN TOLEDO. Sword is 112 cm long overall. A beautiful uniform patina throughout. Sword is quite tight, both Turk's head grip wrap terminals are unraveled by time. A very good, nimble, nicely-balanced late 17th-early 18th c. Spanish sword!
