US 1807 CONTRACT WILLIAM ROSE & SONS CAVALRY SWORD

This is one of the handful surviving Rose 1807 contract sabers. The blade is 34.5", sword is just over 40". Blade has dark staining, but no pitting. Blade is marked by the maker. Leather is long gone from the grip, with only small patches remaining. Original scabbard is quite rare, even in its distressed condition. A very desirable and rarely offered War of 1812 sword!
