Description

This interesting relic is 40" overall, with a 34" long unfiltered blade with a clipped point. Stylistically, the hilt is straight out of the Virginia Manufactory- James Winner idiom, with a knuckle bow inset into the pommel slot. The proportions of the hilt are much larger than the Nathan Starr 1812/1813 contract saber hilts.

A very interesting relic sword from the War of 1812. Almost certainly a Philadelphia-made sword, in need of conservation
